Here we go again ... off to Jamaica to teach "Gardening for Life" for 3 week in Oct 2010

Wayne contacted "Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company" out of Missouri wanting to purchase some good quality seeds. During the visit, he told them about our upcoming mission trip and they donated 2010 seeds. A huge box arrived at our doorstep with $2,875.00 worth of seeds. Holy Cow, God knows how to Bless people. If you want to look up where we are heading go to:

  1. This is such an awesome idea and "Yay" for Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company!!! Whoo! Hoo!

I have something I would love for you guys to address concerning your compost. There are a lot of manure, grasses and even old veggie scraps that contain parasites or their larvae.... it's just life. So my question is this, "Is there a way to kill the adult parasites/larvae first prior to making the compost?.... AND without killing the nutrients, and organic enzymes needed to feed and heat up the compost in the first place?"

  2. Great Question!

    Two ideas
Spread out the material on a plastic sheet and let the hot sun rays work it over.

Once in a hot compost pile things change.
I will also do some research on this important question Thanks Wayne
