Spinach in Montana in February 2011
This nice looking spinach is growing outside in our Montana garden in February even after -20 below F weather. Amazing! It's staying green under 2 old shower stall doors folded together to form an A frame.
I just read Jerri Cook's "Growing Generosity" article in the May/June 2011 edition of Countryside & Small Stock Journal. I love what you're doing, teaching people around the world to begin these small, easy to maintain gardens! I'm a sustainability major at Arizona State University, and every aspect of the subject - the social, economic, and environmental - is of great importance to me both as a student and as a young adult getting ready to seek my own ways to live sustainably. Thanks for being an inspiration to me!
